The primary work of this ministry is to serve the presider and the assembly by enhancing the readiness of our parish community to celebrate liturgy, especially Sunday Mass. LECTORS

The lectors have the important and priviledged responsibility of proclaiming God's Word at Mass. Any Confirmed parishioner with good reading skills is encouraged to become a Lector. EXTRAORDINARY MINISTERS OF HOLY COMMUNION

Serving at the altar of God is a most sacred way of participation in Mass. Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion function as servants to the body of Christ, God's people. The primary focus of their ministry is to serve our parish with fidelity, reverence, and love. MUSIC MINISTRY

Eight different musical groups provide music for our 3 weekend Masses providing a rich variety of styles and using the skills of many parishioners. To find a fit for your talents, attend several Masses to familiarize yourself with the choir styles. USHERS

The ushers help at all Masses. The ushers welcome parishioners and visitors at the doors of the church, take up the collection and direct the congregation forward for Communion. They also straighten up the pews after Mass and distribute bulletins. COORDINATOR: Pat Portolese SCHEDULE |
ALTAR SERVERS

Altar servers have the special privilege of assisting the celebrant at Masses, funerals, weddings, and othe special occasions. All Parish children grade 5th and above are eligible to apply. Four serves are schedules at each Mass throughout the year. Altar serving provides young people with the opportunity to be more direclty involved in the Liturgy. Students may apply at the parish office.

SACRISTANS
What does a sacristan do? Security: The Sacristan is responsible for assuring proper treatment of the Holy Species, namely that of the Sacred Blood and Blessed Sacrament during and after the celebration. They are also responsible for keeping the Holy Tabernacle secure. Mass set up and clean up vary slightly depending on the individual Mass and presider. At every Mass, they are responsible for setting up for both Liturgy of the Word and Liturgy of the Eucharist which means preparing all the books, vessels, offertory, and incense when appropriate. LITURGICAL ART AND ENVIRONMENT

Liturgical Art and Environment ministry provides the beautiful liturgical decorations in our worship spaces and throughout the facility. If you are gifted in the visual arts, floral design or just love to help make the church a warm and welcoming place, then the Liturgical Arts and Environment ministry is for you!
